About

I am a visual artist who works in many mediums typically photography, painting and printmaking. I am currently teaching life drawing at Windsor Printmaker’s Forum, a non-profit arts organization and an artist-run production center. They offer facilities in lithography, intaglio, relief, silkscreen and letterpress printing, giving area artists/printmakers a place to continue their creative development in the fine arts printmaking medium. I am currently a studio artist at The Windsor Printmaker’s Forum.

In 2009 I founded a Plein Air painting group, with a friend known as “The Windsor & Essex County Plein Air Society. I plan events, every week in the warmer weather, inviting the public to join myself and my partner painting at a specific location in and around the city of Windsor, Ontario, Canada. Watercolour is my medium of choice for Plein Air Painting. I also paint, or draw with Conté and Pastel’s in my Life Drawing classes.

I am married to a wonderful man who loves to sing. He entertains online on SingSnap.com under the member name MacBlueEyes, and at local senior dances. He has competed in the Chartwell Senior Star completion annually since its inception in 2004. He took third place in 2007, and first place in 2010. My husband and I are also bird fanciers. We keep and competitively show Cockatiels, English Budgerigars, and Lady Gouldien Finches.

Elizabeth, thanks so much for visiting my site. I too have made major career changes later on in life and I too spent that last couple of years caring for my Dad who passed on in August. Thanks for sharing your encouraging story.

  9. Thank you Michael, for stopping to comment. I’m so sorry for your loss. It’s not easy being a care giver. I’m glad I chose quality of life in my golden years.
