An ominous red-brown cloud hovered over the area this day. Zug Island in Detroit, Michigan was spewing toxins into the air without care. The factories in that area send an incredible amount of pollution across the river into Windsor Ontario Canada. No-one seems to be able to stop this. I can find stats on almost all of the US and Canada on Cancer rates, but not Ontario. Why? On the maps that I did find, Michigan is among the worst for cancer rates. We are down wind of them, so if a conclusion can be drawn, I would think we would at least equal Detroit in environmentally induced cancers. We went to paint a lovely picture that day. I could not.
Lately I’ve seen some of my dear friends using an application that tracks their visitors. The problem with this is that whoever has provided the software is also tracking your visitors. I know that our every move is tracked anyway, but actually seeing my city on your page, and where I got your link from is a bit disturbing. I hope that my visitors will see this and abandon these practices on their pages.
Well, today I attempted to connect my blog to Facebook. Although, at this point I’m not sure I like the application, and may at any time decide to do away with it. All I want to see is MY blog on my home Facebook page. Does this happen? NO! Instead I see a blog I bookmarked, with my blog below it. While I appreciate his blog, I don’t want to advertise him and whoever else I might want to follow on my page. So we shall see if I can fix this to show only my blog. It’s a good idea, but so far they are not giving me enough power over the content.
I also put a widget on my blog page that is supposed to direct traffic to my Facebook photo’s. Instead it just directs people to my Facebook. Another fail on Facebook’s part. Well, may not be an actual error on Facebook’s part, but on the part of the person who made the application. Must be sure to give credit where it is due. <(~.^)>
