I wracked my brain trying to decide what to do for this challenge. I decided to use technology to mess with my image. Also, my image is of old technology, and taken with my old point and shoot. It is the pump house located at our family vacation property. I think I really could have pushed the envelope a lot more on this photo, and I may post a further edited one later. I used The Gimp. It is a wonderful FREE program that is just as good as the mega expensive Photoshop program, and even better in my eyes since I don’t have to shell out any cash for it. If you can’t afford Photoshop check out the gimp.
Great photo, I did think of the wheel. Is this from a carriage?
I think it was from some sort of farm equipment. There are a number of pieces of old farm equipment on the property.
Pretty cool, Gimp is a good program..:-)
Thanks for telling us about the Gimp photo program, I’ll have to give it a try, as I certainly can not afford the Photo Shop program. 🙂 Love you photo of old technology. 🙂
Very nice photo. I’ll have to check out the Gimp. Regular Guy.
Yay I love it. I have not so fond memories however of tripping over this crap on my way back from the shower house one year and hurting my already hurt self (it was the year I fell off sauble falls and was a wreck)
Ouch.
Like the way you thought out of the box, great image!

this is a stunning photograph, love the b&w / colour conversion
to answer your question about the information under my photos: the data comes from when i transfer my photos from camera > computer via nikon transfer and then i copy and paste it into my little ‘layout’
pretty simple
a lot of people were always asking for specs so they could attempt to get the result which they liked on my photo – so i thought, i will just add it there
i have four lenses; 18-55mm, 55-200mm, 105mm macro and a 10-24mm wide angle
Thanks! We have the same camera! This information is uploaded when I upload my photo’s to flickr. I will do the copy paste thing as well.
I love the old wagon wheels. I need to learn to use photo programs, and will check out the gimp.
I love the gimp. It’s a bit of a learning curve, but there are a lot of free tutorials out there.
Lovely still shot. Very creative and you’ve inspired me to check out the gimp as well. Thanks for visiting my blog last week. I am just now getting around to reciprocating adn I’m glad I did.
i wanted to pop back to your blog and wish you a merry christmas and happy / safe new year 🙂
